Be strengthened by the witness of the saints who have gone before us!
This prayer card is part of a series that honors African American Catholics who are on the formal path to sainthood in the Catholic Church. The series evokes the contributions of Black Catholics in the United States, who, through their witness to the faith, their great charity toward others, and their love for God in the midst of various sufferings, reflect the light of Christ in today’s world.
This prayer asks God for the canonization of Venerable Pierre Toussaint (June 27, 1766 – June 30, 1853), a devout Catholic, who was born a slave in Haiti, brought to New York City, eventually gained his freedom, and generously helped others throughout his life.
Use these beautiful prayer cards to deepen your faith! Share these prayer cards with friends, family, or get copies for your parish community. These prayer cards would also be a great resource for diocesan programs, parish faith formation, and religious education.
NOTE: This prayer card is sold in packs of 25. The prayer card (4 ¼” by 5 ½”) will fit inside a standard A2 envelope for diocesan, parish, or school mailings.
