In “When I Call for Help,” the U.S. bishops speak out forcefully against domestic violence, saying that it is never justified and is always a sin. The statement offers insight on the causes of domestic violence and gives support to those affected by it. It also gives advice to all who want to work toward a culture where families and homes are peaceful and safe. The statement is useful for Church leaders as well as all who are working to prevent domestic violence and help victims of it.

5 of 5 Domestic Violence December 31, 2019
Reviewer: Deacon T. Patrick Bradley from Spokane, WA United States
This little known booklet is a tremendous resource for those with little background in the area of Domestic Violence. More emphasis on the fact that violence against women is all about power and control would be good. Also acknowledgement that local DV programs have professionals to deal with the victims and the perpetrators
